
Third grade learned about thermometers today and then practiced finding the air temperature in Fahrenheit and Celsius.

The PTO is going to decorate a Christmas tree for the Maumelle Library's Winter Wonderland display. Does anyone have a Christmas tree we could use? It would be in use Nov 18-Jan2.

Third graders learned that air is matter that takes up space by using the scientific method to conduct an experiment.

PK4 enjoyed counting apples on their heads today! We read Ten Apples Up On Top by Dr. Seuss and reenacted the story with photos of ourselves on the magnetic board.

Our All Saints Day party was lots of fun!! St. Peter fishing, St. Francis animal toss, St. Isidore pumpkin roll, and lots of sweets!


Kindergarten worked on labeling during writing time with a variety of gourds.

PreK3 enjoyed going to the book fair with their fifth grade guardian angels.

Third graders learn about other cultures by tracking our traveling class "pet". Henry the Traveling Hedgehog has been to Japan and is on his way to England.

We have been learning about life on a farm. We read The Little Red Hen and made cornbread. The children wrote measurements as the ingredients went into the bowl. Cornbread made a delicious snack.


We are learning about the life cycle of a pumpkin! On Thursday, we roasted seeds for our morning snack.

We had a busy week in 1st grade being firefighters, writing spelling words in shaving cream, and painting pumpkins!!

Kindergarten had a blast being firefighters! The cups were the 'fire' with sight words written on the side. When they put out the fire they had to read the words.

Third graders are gearing up for their field trip by exploring loan items from the Historic Arkansas Museum. Today they learned about kitchen and lighting items.


Congratulations to Mavita Matute for finishing 1st in a Parochial League Cross Country Meet last week. He is the first in IHM history to accomplish this feat. Great job Mavita.
