How Are Skeletons Used to Compare Organisms?

Duck For President in PK4!

Students joined in on Election Day by participating in the "Kids Voting USA" program. Each first through eighth grade student was able to cast their vote for president through an electronic ballot.

2nd grade was introduced to multiplication with stickers, paint, and play dough!


The 8th grade students had a memorable time working as a team to prepare for the ropes course they completed this afternoon for their field trip. It was definitely a learning experience for all!


8th grade

Day 2 of the IHM Dinosaur Dig! Removing these bones without damaging them is more difficult than the fourth graders anticipated.

First grade is wishing it was last Thursday again! We had so much fun at our All Saints' Day party. We loved decorating cookies and playing games. Thank you to all of our parents for your help!


Our 4th grade paleontologists work together to unearth dinosaur fossils in a rock sample.

PK4 carved a pumpkin with a pumpkin prayer on Monday. Today, we read Pumpkin Jack and discussed what happens to jack-o-lanterns after Halloween. Students poured dirt into the pumpkin with hopes of seeing a few sprouts as we watch it decompose. We will eventually bury the pumpkin in a flower pot.


Kindergarten has enjoyed spending extra time with their Guardian Angels the last couple weeks. Thank you for helping us pick out books at the Book Fair last week.


First grade had a blast on Monday using candy corn to work on different math skills! I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!


2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders Skyped with author Kate Messner today! They enjoyed listening to her speak about her books and then they were given the opportunity to ask questions.

Fifth grade students enjoyed a Skype visit with Kate Messner, author of the Ranger in Time book series. We even had one of our class members offer the suggestion of a Ranger in Time set at the Alamo, a suggestion that was added to her list of possibilities for a future book.

Trunk or Treat!
