The 8th grade students had a memorable time working as a team to prepare for the ropes course they completed this afternoon for their field trip. It was definitely a learning experience for all!

Day 2 of the IHM Dinosaur Dig! Removing these bones without damaging them is more difficult than the fourth graders anticipated.

First grade is wishing it was last Thursday again! We had so much fun at our All Saints' Day party. We loved decorating cookies and playing games. Thank you to all of our parents for your help!

Our 4th grade paleontologists work together to unearth dinosaur fossils in a rock sample.

PK4 carved a pumpkin with a pumpkin prayer on Monday. Today, we read Pumpkin Jack and discussed what happens to jack-o-lanterns after Halloween. Students poured dirt into the pumpkin with hopes of seeing a few sprouts as we watch it decompose. We will eventually bury the pumpkin in a flower pot.

Kindergarten has enjoyed spending extra time with their Guardian Angels the last couple weeks. Thank you for helping us pick out books at the Book Fair last week.

First grade had a blast on Monday using candy corn to work on different math skills! I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!

2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders Skyped with author Kate Messner today! They enjoyed listening to her speak about her books and then they were given the opportunity to ask questions.

Fifth grade students enjoyed a Skype visit with Kate Messner, author of the Ranger in Time book series. We even had one of our class members offer the suggestion of a Ranger in Time set at the Alamo, a suggestion that was added to her list of possibilities for a future book.

Trunk or Treat!
Everyone had a great time including the fifth grade students at Trunk or Treat last Friday evening.

Happy All Saints' Day! First grade did a fantastic job at mass this morning. They celebrated by dressing up as a saint and introducing themselves to the church. Way to go, first graders!

Happy All Saints Day! IHM had a great Holy Day with the assistance our first graders and their wonderful first grade teacher. Thank you!

Happy All Saint's Day! Congratulations to our First Grade for the wonderful job they did during mass!
“If there is one thing typical of the saints, it is that they are genuinely happy”(Pope Francis)

3rd grade made necklaces with St. Francis of Assisi medals and had saint themed snacks to celebrate All Saints Day.

Happy Halloween from Rose and PreK3!

Happy Halloween from 4th grade
We wrote and shared spooky stories and acted a little scary!

8th grade is reading "The Tell-Tale Heart" by Edgar Allan Poe and discussing the themes in this notorious short story.

4th grade has been busy with their poetry unit and parts of speech. These "I am poems" were created with an emphasis on adjectives.

PreK3 painted a pumpkin and made it into a silly witch named Rose. We have learned a song about a little witch named Rose.
